We, were all truly devastated by the latest tragic events happening in Japan. It is the times like these, that people all over the world must unite their efforts in reaching out a helping hand to a fellow human being in need.
It is our firm belief that our Mother Earth is a material outer reflection of our inner world and that it subtly reflects a state of human collective consciousness. Every living soul shares its own experience with the world, which we all inhabit, making conscious or unconscious choice by thoughts, emotions, intentions and deeds. We share joy when we are happy, and sorrow when we are in pain.

How do we react? How do we echo in our emotions and purposes when we witness tragedies like these, happening in Japan and see and witness such pain? “Pity” and “compassion” are different terms.

On Friday, May 6 2011, Almaty Towers will host the special third installment of our Jazzystan charity musical festival, which will be called: “Jazzystan Pray For Japan. We Are ONE”. This festival aims to raise funds for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. The event lines up remarkable Tokyo jazz bands, with “Soil & Pimp Sessions”, who are already well-known to Almaty jazz-lovers through previous installments of the festival, as well as such bands as “Quasimode” and “Root Soul”, who will visit Kazakhstan for the first time exclusively for this charity initiative.
